Erie Insurance President and CEO Tim NeCastro is stepping down early, the company announced in a statement Tuesday. He had planned to retire at the end of 2026, and company representatives did not share a reason for the earlier exit.

  • Bolash's interim role: effective immediately
  • NeCastro's planned retirement date: Dec. 31, 2026
  • The next CEO: board's is still searching

Days earlier, on Fri., Oct. 30, JET Action News first reported that NeCastro had been ousted, after multiple tips that he had been escorted from the building. The company first told the station "there is truth to those rumors," then said it meant "there is no truth to those rumors," and called the idea that he was no longer employed "completely inaccurate." The station took its article down. It says it has asked when and why NeCastro decided to leave and is waiting to hear back.
