ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Lake Erie's water levels dropped from a record high of 576.20 feet in April 2020 to near 571 feet in November due to less rain and more evaporation — the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers predicts a further drop of 1—3 inches over the coming winter.  The Erie Times-News

  • Dr. David Hutzel at Greenfield Internal Medicine warned that many patients in Erie have refused important drugs for high blood pressure, depression, and bone loss due to fear of side effects and false information — his comments raise concern about increased risks for heart attacks, strokes, and serious breaks.  The Erie Times-News
