- ➤ Local residents and their pets ran the Trails and Tails 5K at Harborcreek Community Park yesterday morning to raise funds for the Haven 2 Home program that helps pets displaced by domestic violence. This year marked the event's fourth run and showed growing community support. YourErie.com

- ➤ Burch Farms hosted its first Corks and Classics car show in North East—where visitors tasted wine, viewed classic cars, and ate BBQ as fall arrived. - ➤ A horse owner at Presque Isle Downs was suspended indefinitely by the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission on Sept. 22 after staff found an electrical device in his vehicle at the stable gate—his two horses scheduled to race that day were scratched from their events. The Erie Times-News

- ➤ Erie riders on e-bikes must follow the same rules as bicyclists and are not allowed on sidewalks in downtown business districts (including West 12th and East 12th Street), while electric scooters remain illegal on public roads and sidewalks and can only be used on private property.
