Good morning, Erie.

Erie's oldest and largest comic book store announced it will close on July 31 after 43 years in business.

The decision ends a long-standing local institution (a favorite for comic collectors) in our community.

The Lake Erie Grape Belt contributed $340 million to the local economy by supporting nearly 600 farms, but growers now face uncertainty as grape juice contracts were canceled.

Local experts and tourism officials expect the region’s wineries and vineyards to remain a vital part of community life.

Data from Realtor.com shows that in April, Erie County median home prices dropped 11.6% from $215,000 in March to $190,000, and overall home sales rose 7% from last year, while condo prices fell sharply & single-family home values saw a small decline.

Fans can vote for the top returning linebacker of District 10 among five candidates.

Voting is open until Friday at noon, giving local supporters a chance to back the defensive leader they believe will strengthen the team.
