Good morning, Erie.

Five Mercyhurst community members are honored in Erie Reader's 40 Under 40 for their work in finance, hospitality, IT, sports management & cybersecurity.

The group includes alumnae Gabrielle Catrabone, Jaslyne Walter, and Michelle Schrimper and professors Tiffany Frits and Chris Mansour who have made a local impact.

In Erie, Canadian wildfire smoke pushed air quality to Code Maroon yesterday, closing Waldameer Park, the zoo, and local pools while the Department of Environmental Protection forecasts that showers today (Saturday) will help reduce the hazardous conditions.

Erie residents can legally use fire pits if they follow city rules.

They must use only approved fire rings for dry, seasoned wood + burn from 5 p.m. to midnight while keeping fires 15 ft from buildings and avoiding burning garbage and recyclables, with violations leading to charges.

Erie residents noticing post-sun skin dryness may try Adamia Therapeutic Repair Lotion to restore their moisture barrier after intense summer exposure.

Developed for mature skin and cumulative damage (using macadamia oil and Omega-7), the lotion helps return softness and balance.
