ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ One person died after being struck by a train early Sunday near the intersection of 14th and Poplar streets — calls came in at 5 a.m. and the Erie County coroner pronounced the victim dead at 6 a.m. with the identity still unknown. YourErie.com

- ➤ The Fraternal Order of Police issued a statement on the death of an Erie man killed by a parole agent — local officials are investigating the case — and authorities are treating the incident as homicide. YourErie.com
- ➤ Twenty-year-old Kailee Davis is charged with felony homicide by vehicle for a rollover crash on I-79 near Millcreek Mall that killed 17-year-old Cadence Gannoe on June 16 last year—tests showed THC in her blood and she was released on a $10,000 bond. YourErie.com

- ➤ The first Sounds of Summer concert—featuring pop, jazz, blues and funk—took place Monday night at the VA Medical Center in Erie, and officials said the series will run every Monday at 7 p.m. through August 11. YourErie.com

- ➤ Crews will close part of State Street from Second Street to the parkway on July 21 to install drainage pipes as part of the Central Bay Front Parkway project. A detour using Holland Street — East Third Street and Bayfront Parkway will remain in place for the rest of summer. YourErie.com
