CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On July 2nd at about 9:50 p.m., Pennsylvania State Parole Agents on compliance checks in Erie County encountered Marchello Dupree Woodward in a parked car on East 27th Street and, when he drove away while dragging an agent, the agent fired rounds before Erie City police located Woodward, who died at UPMC Hamot after receiving treatment while the injured agent was also treated plus investigators and community leaders are now addressing concerns. - ➤ Erie’s summer entertainment guide lists art exhibitions, comedy shows, concerts and theater productions across July, August and September—many events are family friendly with varying admission fees at local venues like the Erie Art Museum and Warner Theatre. The Erie Times-News

- ➤ Erie County Health inspectors recorded three critical violations during restaurant inspections between June 25 and July 3. Cheddar’s Casual Cafe in Millcreek had two breaches—employee beverages stored above food prep areas and a missing HACCP plan—and CVS Pharmacy in Edinboro showed a door gap that may allow pests entry.
