- ➤ Erie County Council filed a motion for a preliminary injunction to block County Executive Brenton Davis from spending funds removed from the 2025 budget—Davis defended his use of veto power as several municipalities continue with infrastructure projects amid pending litigation. - ➤ Erie County Council voted 5—2 to reject a plan to use $433,620 in ICE detention funds for the prison budget and will instead move the money to the general fund.
