SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Harbor Creek celebrated its District 10 Class 4A softball championship win today at a local field, where teammates and fans gathered to honor the achievement. The Erie Times-News
- ➤ Mercyhurst Prep repeated as District 10’s top Class 2A baseball team — winning on Monday over Saegertown at Slippery Rock University. The Erie Times-News
- ➤ Erie Times-News, Seaway Window and AHN Sports Medicine have launched athlete of the week polls for District 10’s spring season (votes are accepted today at 5 p.m. until Thursday, May 28 at 5 p.m.). The Erie Times-News
- ➤ General McLane's baseball team fought for its first District 10 title in 25 years during a dramatic Class 4A final against Cathedral Prep, with the game reaching a critical point in the bottom of the seventh inning. Local fans watched every play as tension built on the field. The Erie Times-News
- ➤ On May 25, Saegertown claimed the District 10 Class 2A softball championship with a 4-0 win over Wilmington at Penn State Behrend; Cambridge Springs and Sharon also won their titles at Allegheny College, and all teams move on to the PIAA playoffs starting June 1. The Erie Times-News
