- ➤ City officials will support the inaugural Rides for the Rise motorcycle rally on July 19 to benefit local youth programs as Save the Youth 814 organizes the event. The rally will include a motorcycle parade ending at Liberty Park and feature live performances, food trucks, and local vendors — marking Erie's first city-supported motorcycle rally since Roar on the Shore ended in 2021. - ➤ On Monday, May 19th, Harbor Creek High School held its annual military signing day where seniors pledged to protect our country. Ryleigh Kinter will join the Air Force and Owen Lewis will join the Marines as both said signing papers with friends gave them strength (Ryleigh will attend tech training at Lackland and Owen will start boot camp at Parris Island in July). - ➤ The Mid-Atlantic Mothers' Milk Bank opened its first depot at Magee-Womens in UPMC Hamot on May 19 to allow donors to drop off milk rather than ship it to Pittsburgh. The depot now makes it easier for women to donate and helps supply breast milk (enough for many preemie meals) that is crucial for newborns. The Erie Times-News

- ➤ Pennsylvania will offer free fishing on May 25 and July 4, when anyone (including nonresidents) may fish without needing a license or trout/salmon and Lake Erie permits (all other fishing regulations apply). The Erie Times-News
