Big Lots in Erie and Meadville, which closed after bankruptcy, are set to reopen on May 15 under new ownership by Variety Wholesalers.

The stores will be remodeled to offer a wider range of merchandise including clothing, home decor and health and beauty items — with addresses at 2215 W. 12th St. in Erie and 820 Water Street in Meadville.

Dominick's Diner closed its doors in downtown Erie last Friday after a 68-year run (customers came in all week for one last meal and the diner sold out of its famous meatball omelette by 10 a.m.) as it was sold to a new owner who is expected to bring changes.
