- ➤ Three Great Lakes shipbuilders including Erie's Donjon Shipbuilding are teaming up to bid on a government contract for five to seven new light icebreakers. They will submit their bid by April 10 and plan to split work to avoid disrupting commercial operations — confident combined experience gives them an edge. The Erie Times-News

- ➤ An expansion at Erie Center for Arts and Technology has begun with additional parking being built behind Wayne Park Baptist Church to provide career program space just west of the center. The project is underway to offer new resources for local community members. The Erie Times-News

- ➤ Gannon men’s basketball clinched its first NCAA Division II national championship by beating Lander 84-61 on Saturday, with sophomore Pace Prosser scoring 28 points (with 11 rebounds and five assists) as coach Easton Bazzoli led a dramatic turnaround that set a school-record 34 wins.
