- ➤ An Erie County Health Department inspection found that the Dollar General at 8181 Avonia Road had sewage backups on March 15 and a power outage on March 16. The issues have been fixed & inspectors warn management to report future hazards. The Erie Times-News

- ➤ Girard volunteer and student council adviser Matt Mikovich works with high school students to set up biannual blood drives at the school with help from Community Blood Bank. His efforts encourage life-saving blood donations that support the local community. The Erie Times-News
