ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ In 2025, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission recorded 10 boating deaths—matching the decade-long average despite fewer incidents—and three fatalities occurred in Erie County, with two men drowning after a motorboat breakdown and a teen losing her life when her kayak capsized. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ John Stehlin leaves his role as a TV weatherman at WICU-TV/WSEE-TV after decades of service to manage the Erie County government website and 14 social media accounts. He will step down on March 31 and take charge of increasing local communications. The Erie Times-News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Erie hosts the ACO Major tournament at Bayfront Convention Center with elite cornhole players competing in singles, doubles, women's, seniors, juniors, and coed divisions beginning today from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and continuing Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; about 175 participants plus guests are expected.
