  • Erie gas stations charged an average of $3.74 per gallon on March 9 due to rising oil prices from Middle East tensions (a 44.7¢ increase from the previous week), and experts predicted prices could climb another 20 to 50 cents this week.  The Erie Times-News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Edison Elementary School will open in a new building on April 7 after the current facility holds its final classes on March 27; the address will change from East Lake Road to East Seventh Street.  The Erie Times-News

  • Parents in Erie can shop Sleep Week deals on sleep products from retailers like Momcozy, Gunamuna, Target, Hanna Andersson, and Tonies (offers include 20% off pregnancy pillows, up to 30% off sleepwear, and 15% off screen-free bedtime audio).
