Twenty-seven high school students turned everyday items like fishing lures and crayons into art on display at Gannon University's education center in Blasco Library since Jan.

The agency is studying cost-saving options with the PA Game Commission while addressing a $4 million deficit from recent labor agreements.
Erie's Coast Guard Petty Officer Downer recounted his role in ice rescues on Lake Erie and Presque Isle Bay and explained his team trains twice weekly to stay ready — a duty that becomes critical during the cold months.
He will transfer later this year, aiming to serve near his Pittsburgh family.
Infinite Erie released its 2026 Playbook (a plan for regional progress) at its annual Budget Breakfast and Briefing on Feb.

🏥 Health
Erie County has proclaimed today National Wear Red Day to promote heart health.
County Executive Christina Vogel will deliver the proclamation at 8:30 a.m. at the Erie County Department of Health (606 W. 2nd Street) as part of a national campaign against heart disease.
