- ➤ Diverse Erie invested $3.5 million in local minority-owned businesses and nonprofits that generated a $5.7 million economic impact, and it will open the next round of Small Business Mini-Grant applications in February to support more community initiatives in Erie. The Erie Times-News

- ➤ Erie County school districts use guidelines in their handbooks where superintendents decide on delays or closures when extreme winter weather makes conditions unsafe today or in the future & help families plan accordingly. The Erie Times-News

- ➤ National Gluten-free Day on Jan. 12 highlighted the need for gluten-free foods as nearly 8% of Americans have gluten intolerance.
