- ➤ Mercyhurst University in Erie announced that Dr. Kathleen Getz will retire on June 30, 2026 and that the board has named Dr. David Livingston interim president beginning July 1, 2026—ensuring a planned leadership transition as Getz’s strategic work guided the university through challenging times. Peek'n Peak will begin on Dec.6 (8:30 a.m. for season pass holders and 10 a.m. for public access) while Mount Pleasant will host a kickoff party on Dec.6 (3 p.m. with winter festivities).
