- ➤ Gov. Shapiro signed an executive order on Oct 1 to help kids get vaccines for free and to keep the state safe from new federal changes. The order makes sure that uninsured children get their shots and that Medicaid and private insurers cover recommended vaccines — the governor said the recent federal guidance was dangerous for health care.
