- ➤ A vigil will take place at Perry Square in downtown Erie on October 4 at 10 a.m.—organizers plan three hours of music and speeches from officials including County Executive Brenton Davis and state representative Jake Banta to honor slain activist Charlie Kirk. YourErie.com

- ➤ The Great Lakes Beach Glass and Coastal Arts Festival will be held at the Bayfront Convention Center on Oct. 11-12 with nearly 50 vendors selling art, jewelry, and treats. - ➤ Erie Insurance and Ben Franklin Technology Partners launched the $500,000 Erie Revitalization Investment Fund, which will invest between $50,000 and $150,000 in 5 to 15 local businesses through loans or convertible notes — the fund is managed by Ben Franklin and is meant to create lasting jobs and growth in Erie County. - ➤ West County Paramedic Association is hosting a free health fair this Saturday, October 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. at its office at 6852 Meadville Road in Girard – attendees will receive screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, and more, along with free flu shots, food trucks, and a bounce house for kids. - ➤ Several former Erie SeaWolves players are set to join MLB playoff rosters as teams chase a World Series championship—Detroit leads with 19 former SeaWolves while the Cubs, Phillies and Mariners also list players with Erie ties.
