- ➤ Fuhrman's Cider Fest will be held today at 8270 Peach St. from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.—offering live music, kids' obstacle courses and seasonal drinks made with Luminary Distillery spirits while supporting Perry Hi-Way Hose Company. The Erie Times-News
- ➤ Champion Ford Erie filled a pickup truck with food for Second Harvest Food Bank on Friday morning—sales manager Scott Dolittle said the dealership’s donation reflected its community commitment and that Second Harvest’s CEO later picked up the food. - ➤ On Friday, First Energy Foundation donated $50K to Second Harvest Food Bank to help Erie neighbors facing food insecurity—over 101,000 people in the region, including more than 40,000 in Erie, struggle with food access. - ➤ The district attorney’s office is investigating Erie County IT workers, including director Jeffrey Cudicio who hired a lawyer, after a whistleblower claimed they swapped high-end video cards from county computers with those from their personal systems, and detectives seized equipment with a search warrant in mid-September—County Executive Davis declined to comment. - ➤ Erie is enjoying a busy autumn season with events already underway — Wine Fest is running today while spooky attractions like Ghost Lake and family activities such as trunk-or-treats, corn mazes and pumpkin patches are planned through early November.
