- ➤ Martha Bradley said her son, Marchello D. Woodard, was fatally shot by a Pa. state parole agent on East 27th Street in Erie on the night of July 2—leaving her family searching for answers. The Erie Times-News
- ➤ On July 2 at approximately 9:44 p.m., Erie Police responded to a shooting near East 27th and Parade Street when PA State Parole Agents shot a suspect during an investigation and the injured driver drove off in a white car—officers intercepted the vehicle, rendered aid, and later transported the Parole Agent for treatment before the investigation was turned over to the PA State Police and District Attorney. - ➤ Workers in Pennsylvania may lower their federal tax bills if a bill passes that lets them deduct up to $25,000 in tips and $12,500 in overtime wages, but tax is still taken from paychecks until they file in early next year—most help is aimed at middle- and higher-income earners while some low-income workers may see little benefit.
